DELAC

DELAC is the District English Learner Advisory Committee and is made up of representatives from each school's English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). The Committee's role is to advise the district on programs and services for English Learner students.

The committee advises the governing board on:

  1. Revision of the district's Master Plan for Multilingual Learners 

  2. District-wide needs assessment for Multilingual Learners

  3. Establishment of district programs, goals, and objectives for Multilingual Learners

  4. Reviews compliance with credential requirements for teachers

  5. Reviews and comments on the school district Reclassification Procedure

  6. Reviews and comments on written notifications required to be sent to parents and guardians of English Learners

  7. Reviews and comments on Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP)
